In 1996 The Dialogue Consultants formed to address several unmet needs in diversity and communication training. We wanted to engage participants in meaningful dialogue by developing safe spaces for intra-group and inter-group communication, and teach the principles of dialogue rather than debate.

We spend time helping participants understand their feelings, fears, common history, etc., before we engage in cross-cultural discussions. We believe that discussion without preparation leads to failure.

The Dialogue Consultants are Linda Croyle, Russell Davis, Susan Swarts, Delilah Poupore, and Eric Rollerson. They are five individuals with a desire to make an impact on the world by engaging in open and honest dialogue around oppression.

Click the links below to hear what they have to say about themselves and the dialogue process:

Delilah Poupore: "I enjoy learning about people's struggles and triumphs, and their power to make a difference in their own and other people's lives."

Eric Rollerson: "This is important work! Bringing people together to talk about race in this country."

Linda Croyle: "I love learning about self development, especially who I am in the context of a larger world/society."

Russell Davis: "Working together to deal with rage, sadness, confusion, and other emotions around race and racism has been a life changing experience. To truly see change and to have an impact on such a serious issue is more rewarding than I could have imagined."

Susan Swarts: "I have learned so much just by listening to our participants…I know I've helped create an atmosphere where that kind of honest, open, dialogue is fostered."
